As a native of Spearfish, Dr. Steven Giuseffi is happy to be back in the Black Hills of South Dakota. He joined Black Hills Orthopedic & Spine Center in 2014 and specializes in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery.

After completing his Bachelor of Science degree in biology and Spanish at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, South Dakota, Dr. Giuseffi went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

He completed residency training in orthopedic surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, prior to undergoing advanced fellowship training in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Jackson, Mississippi, and Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.  

Dr. Giuseffi is board-certified with subspecialty certification in orthopedic sports medicine through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.

Dr. Steven Giuseffi is an orthopedic surgeon who is available to see patients in Rapid City, South Dakota; Spearfish, South Dakota; and Chadron, Nebraska.

When he is not seeing his patients, Dr. Giuseffi enjoys running, biking, fitness, skiing, hiking, playing soccer and guitar, and conversing in Spanish.
