Jerome Wenninger is a physician assistant that has been fellowship-trained to provide orthopedic patient care in all orthopedic specialties in both clinical and surgical settings. He joined Black Hills Orthopedic & Spine Center in 2015 after retiring from the United States Army after 20 years of service. He is one of a few physician assistants in the United States with a doctoral degree in clinical orthopedics from Baylor University. He was an assistant professor at Baylor University in clinical orthopedics and director of the Army Orthopedic PA Fellowship at Fort Bliss, Texas. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

He earned a bachelor of science degree in zoology from the University of Vermont-Burlington. He obtained his bachelor of science degree in physician assistant studies and master’s degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. He was selected for the Army-Baylor Orthopedic Fellowship and completed his doctor of science degree in physician assistant studies – clinical orthopedics from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.
