Performance Plus Program

The Performance Plus Program (P3) is an athletic enhancement program designed for off- and pre-season training.

The Performance Plus Program may be set up for a wide variety of sports and athletic training.  The athletes will train for speed, strength, agility, foot work, core strength, and explosive power.  These attributes will be measured by a test taken before and after program completion.  Athletes receive “print-outs” of their progress at the end of each session.  The sessions range from four to six weeks, three days per week, 1-1/2 hours per day.

The training consists of workouts on the high-speed treadmill, plyometric equipment, weight machines, agility equipment, and medicine balls.

The treadmill is used for:
  • Increasing speed
  • Uphill endurance
  • General conditioning

The plyometric equipment is used for:
  • High impact exercise (plyo-box)
  • Low impact/non-weight bearing exercise (plyo-sled)
  • Lower body reactive jumping machine (vertimax machine)

Weight machines (standard universal equipment) are used for:
  • Strength building

Agility equipment is used for:
  • Agility, coordination, and improving foot work (ladders, mini-hurdles, cone exercises)

Medicine balls are used for:
  • Body strengthening for abdomen, gluts, and muscle structure of the spine (plyometrics)
