David H. Lang, M.D.
Dr. Lang joined Black Hills Orthopedic and Spine Center in 1993. His practice consists of general orthopedic surgery including all aspects of surgical and medical musculoskeletal care, including occupational injuries of the hand, upper extremity and shoulder. He has a special interest as well as practical experience managing complex problems of the hand and upper extremity. Surgical experience includes trauma, sports medicine, joint replacement, and arthroscopic and endoscopic surgery of the upper extremity.
He also serves as the Clinical Instructor: Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin, is a diplomat on the National Board of Medical Examiners, a sought-after presenter in the national medical community, and has published several research articles.
Dr. Lang and his wife are raising their five children in Rapid City. They enjoy the region's musical and performing art venues, visiting the six national parks and monuments close by, and the 1.2 million acres of national forest in the Black Hills.
