Rand L. Schleusener, M.D.

Rand L. Schleusener, M.D. Dr. Schleusener joined Black Hills Orthopedic and Spine Center in 1997. He is fellowship trained in Spine Surgery, University Hospital, Syracuse, NY, and Syracuse Veteran's Administration Medical Center, Syracuse, NY. Dr. Schleusener specializes in degenerative spine conditions and the advancement of minimally invasive spine surgery. Dr. Schleusener is a featured medical lecturer and presenter and has published several research articles. His academic appointments included Assistant Professor, Department of Orthopedics, University of Utah, Salt Lake City, UT, and Director of Spine Center, University of Utah, Salt Lake City, UT.

As a former All-American Football Player at the University of Nebraska, Dr. Schleusener enjoys the outstanding high school, college, and semi-professional sporting events found in Rapid City. He and his family also appreciate living in an area that has many of the amenities offered in larger cities, but in the midst of mountains, streams, and lakes.
