Dr. May is a native of Rapid City. Upon completion of her Rheumatology fellowship at Mayo Clinic, she remained on staff as an Associate Consultant and was able to participate in an outstanding academic environment. While at Mayo Clinic, she completed graduate work in clinical research. Dr. May started a family during her fellowship, and the pull of family brought her home to Rapid City in 2005, when she joined the Arthritis and Rheumatic Disease Center at Black Hills Orthopedic and Spine Center. Dr. May sees all types of rheumatologic diseases, but has special interest in Ankylosing Spondylitis, a rare inflammatory disorder of the spine, and Gout.
