James A. Engelbrecht, M.D.Upon completion of his fellowship in Utah, Dr. Engelbrecht moved to Rapid City and joined the Internal Medicine Group in 1980. Three years later, he established a speciality practice called Dakota Regional Rheumatology.

After more than 20 years at his independent rheumatology clinic, Dr. Engelbrecht joined the Arthritis and Rheumatic Disease Center at Black Hills Orthopedic and Spine Center in 2005, where he continues to practice today. Dr. Engelbrecht continues to volunteer in his community as well as serve on several state and national medical boards and committees.
