Dr. Den Hartog joined Black Hills Orthopedic & Spine Center in 1995. He completed fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery from the Medical College of Wisconsin. His practice emphasizes care for the problems of the foot, ankle, and knee. Dr. Den Hartog is a past member of the Board of Directors for the American Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Society, as well as an appointed member of four committees for the American Foot & Ankle Society. He has worked extensively as a national educator and presenter, and is a published author of several
research articles.
Bringing orthopedic medical care to under-developed countries is a special interest of Dr. Den Hartog. He has participated in several medical missions around the globe over the past 26 years.
He enjoys making the Black Hills home because of the family-friendly community. Dr. Den Hartog, his wife and three sons spend much of their free time taking advantage of the area’s vast outdoor recreational opportunities.
